Prophetic Pregnancy

When my son Judah was four years old, my wife Leah called me while I was at work one day and said, “Could you pick up a pregnancy test on the way home from work?” I was a bit shocked that she was telling me we were going to have a baby over the phone and asked, “Are you pregnant?”

“No, I don’t think so,” she said.

“So why do I need to get a pregnancy test?” I asked, confused.Leah explained that earlier that day, Judah had randomly said to her, “Mom, you’re pregnant, you’re going to have a little girl, and you’re going to call her Bella.

”I got her a test, and sure enough, she was pregnant! When it came time to go to the doctor for a sonogram, we went as a family. The woman doing the sonogram said, “You’re going to have a little girl.” Leah and her mom started crying because we had two boys and were excited to have a girl! I excitedly looked at Judah, but the look on his face showed that he thought we were all dumb as if to say, “I told you this is what’s happening.” Later on in the day I told Judah, “Come sit on the bed. Let’s have a chat.” At that point I knew Judah heard from the Lord, but I didn’t know how accurately he heard.

I asked him, “How did you know that Mom was going to have a baby and that we should name her Bella?”

He looked at me and said, “The Lord told me.”I said, “I know, but how did He tell you? Was it really loud? Did you have a dream about it at night?”Judah said, “Sometimes the Lord speaks real loud and you don’t even have to pay attention. You just hear Him.”

He got a big smile on his face. “Sometimes the Lord speaks really quiet, and you have to listen.”

He became very excited and said, “Daddy, I really had to listen this time.”

I was so excited about him hearing from the Lord, I grabbed his hand and asked him to pray for me!
