More Than Making a Cake (w/Jack Phillips)

When Jack Phillips opened his Masterpiece Cakeshop in 1993, he gave it a name that reflected his intentional blending of culinary skill and artistic talent, all for the glory of God. What does it look like when our religious freedoms have been infringed upon in real life?

Jack Phillips knows first- hand what happens when biblical values are demonized and Christians are driven out of the public square: it impacts us all. On July 19, 2012, two men asked Jack, owner and artist of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado to create a hand-painted, custom cake for their wedding. But Jack knew he couldn’t create the cake—it would go completely against his conscience and his deeply-rooted biblical beliefs about marriage.
