The Blood of Jesus: Your Unbreakable Shield Against Darkness!
“When Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross, it was not the blood of a martyr; or the blood of one man for another; it was the life of God poured out to redeem the world.”
—Oswald Chambers
“The war that exists between you and God can be over quickly, and the peace treaty is signed in the blood of God’s Son, Jesus Christ.”
—Billy Graham
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death (Revelation 12:11 NIV).
In the stillness of the night, I found myself in a dream, standing in a vast open field.
To my right a brick wall stretched alongside me, while in the distance, trees lined the left. Thousands of people surrounded me in the field, and a sudden awareness of danger permeated the air. I knew something evil was happening and they should take cover and find safety immediately. With great urgency, I began motioning everyone to seek refuge behind the wall.
All of them were looking to me to help them, as panic spread throughout the crowd. With my right arm, I began sweeping the masses of people, ushering them behind the wall. Men, women, and children responded, crouching down as I continued to guide them to safety.
Suddenly, my attention shifted, and there, charging toward me at full speed, was a huge horse ridden by a demonic soldier of satan. In his hand, he gripped a gun, pointed directly toward me. People began screaming and were gripped by terror.
I had no fear and, undeterred, I remained standing. Extending my left hand toward the rider, I began praying in tongues. The moment seemed to hang in slow motion as the first bullet whizzed just above my head. The second shot barely missed my side.
Yet with unyielding determination I held my ground, directing people behind the wall with my right hand. The third bullet fired pierced through my uplifted left hand. I felt a slight pain, but a supernatural strength sustained me. Chaos was all around me, but I did not waver.
As he got closer, our eyes locked, and I began to shout with boldness and authority, “The blood of Jesus covers us and you will not succeed. We are covered by His blood and you have no authority!” Miraculously, the horse and the demon exploded into nothingness. The power of the blood had prevailed, dismantling the forces of darkness!
I awoke and was physically shaking, but with the realization that the spiritual battle had been won through the mighty force of the blood of Jesus.
It took some time to finally get back to sleep, but later, when I awoke for the day, I realized my hand was hurting. Inspecting it, I found that my entire hand, front and back, was covered with a horrible bruise. I was undone. What had really happened within the spiritual realm?
In moments of danger, uncertainty, and spiritual warfare, we should always apply the blood with unwavering faith. Just as the demon crumbled in the face of its potency, the blood of Jesus is a source of victory for our every need, every challenge, and every circumstance. There is nothing you face that the blood of Jesus won’t conquer.
Stand in the authority and power it provides to you. Oh, praise Him, saints. We thank You, Lord, for the blood. Worthy is the Lamb!
The blood of Jesus Christ holds profound significance, representing the ultimate sacrifice for the redemption of humanity. The shedding of His blood on the cross is the pinnacle of the Father’s love and mercy, as it serves as a perfect and once and for all sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. This reconciles us with God, bridging the gap created by sin.
His blood, marked by grace and forgiveness, allows people from all walks of life to find common ground at the foot of the cross.
The blood of Jesus is the atonement, cleansing, and new covenant between the Father and His people. Hebrews 9:22 (NIV) tells us, “In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”
The power of His blood is not confined to historical events but extends to the present and future. It is a potent force that cleanses us from sin, washing away guilt and shame. Through our faith in this power, we find assurance of salvation and the promise of eternal life! It is also a protective shield, as seen in the Passover. Just as the blood protected the Israelites from the angel of death, we know it serves as a safeguard against spiritual harm, providing a covering and refuge for us.
When we partake in the sacrament of communion, the bread and wine is a tangible way for us to remember and participate in our gratitude of the shedding of Jesus’ blood.
Always remember, the power of the blood is a transforming and redeeming force that continues to resonate through time, offering hope, forgiveness, and eternal life to all who embrace it.
You must apply the blood of Jesus in your life. Resist the forces of darkness, and walk in the freedom and victory secured by the sacrifice on the cross. It is a spiritual key to living a life knowing who you are in Him!
