Radical Kingdom Gospel for Everyday Life

“I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,” says the Lord of hosts. —Haggai 2:7 NKJV

As a group of believers, we have purposed to live with the idea that the Gospel is perfectly suited for every area of life. It is practical and needed. In His wisdom, He has solutions for every problem and has a heart for every person. Our approach is inspired by the verse that states He is “the Desire of All Nations.” In other words, everyone wants a king like Jesus. He is what everyone longs for; they just don’t know it. As such, Jesus is perfectly suited to give influence, meaning, and significance for all aspects of life.

Forgive me, Father, for any fear I’ve had about sharing the Gospel with those around me. You are the desire of the nations. Help me to share the truth about Your love in a way that my friends and family can understand.

The 500-year anniversary of the Reformation was recently celebrated. The leaders of that day were successful in shaping their culture because they believed God had answers for every part of life. It didn’t matter if it was banking, or business, or education, or science, and so on. The point is this Gospel is designed to bring the reality of the Kingdom into every part of life. And in doing so, people are fulfilled in purpose. The people of God must embrace the privilege of living in the open, regardless of the field of influence, so that the reality of God’s Kingdom is recognizable. Remember, He said, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Ps. 34:8). Taste is experience. See is perception. Once people experience the reality of the Kingdom, their perception will change. Give them a taste.

Word from the Lord: The universe is bursting with My creativity. There isn’t one area that I haven’t lovingly focused on, so don’t imagine that there is one aspect of your life—My precious child—that I don’t care deeply about. Bring it all to Me.

Bill and Beni Johnson

Bill Johnson

Bill Johnson is the Senior Pastor of Bethel Church. Bill is a fifth generation pastor with a rich heritage in the things of the Spirit. This apostolic network has crossed denominational lines in building relationships that enable church leaders to walk in both purity and power. The present move of God has brought Bill into a deeper understanding of the phrase, "on earth as it is in heaven." Heaven is the model for our life and ministry. Jesus lived with this principle by only doing what He saw His Father doing. Learning to recognize the Holy Spirit's presence, and how to follow His lead will enable us to do the works of Christ, destroying the works of the devil. Healing and deliverance must become the common expression of this gospel of power once again. Bill and the Bethel Church family have taken on this theme for life and ministry. Healings, ranging from cancer to broken bones, to learning disorders and emotional healing, happen with regularity. This is the children's bread. And these works of God are not limited to revival meetings. The church is learning how to take this anointing to the schools, workplace, and neighborhoods with similar results. Bill teaches that we owe the world an encounter with God, and that a Gospel without power is not the Gospel that Jesus preached.
