You Are God's Greatest Joy!

Not many people really think about God from this perspective. Most are concerned only with trying to create and satisfy their own desires and pleasures. Nevertheless, there is joy that God considers His greatest! That “greatest joy” is you. God is not too busy keeping the planets in orbit. He is not too busy trying to end wars and famine. He’s not too busy counting stars or creating new ones. He doesn’t have to find the time to hear your prayer or “squeeze in” your requests between major global events. You are not His hobby. He doesn’t only answer you on weekends or His days off. You are not His sideline interest. You are His greatest joy! As a husband enjoys the love of his wife, so God enjoys your love. God is a personal God whose greatest joy is having us as friends. God wants you to have His love and joy deep in your heart—forever .

Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings (Psalms 63:7).

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2 NASB).

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full (John 15:11 NASB).

God is never too busy for you; you are not interrupting something more important with your prayers of communication with Him. You are His joy today!
