Unleash the Prophetic Power of Your Words
Words are seeds.
I was reading Genesis 1—the awesome description of God creating the heavens and the earth. Suddenly, I heard the voice of Holy Spirit so clearly. Words are seeds. His voice was heavy with meaning, with instruction.
How many times had I read Genesis 1, penned by Moses 3,400 years ago? Countless times. But this time I leaned back from my desk, echoing aloud what was recorded in ancient history thousands of years ago. I knew Holy Spirit was giving me a truth that is still alive, still powerful, and still needs to be loosed. It was a moment of enlightenment, and I would never be the same after that revelation.
Words are seeds. “Word seeds” germinate and they grow. “Word seeds,” planted properly, reproduce themselves. “Word seeds” are the concealed beginnings of something that can grow to fullness when we believe and act upon them. They are latent potential, waiting to be planted in the soil of an individual, a church, a business, or a nation that can grow and fulfill that “word seed.”We are told that God planted the heavens and the earth with word seeds—words that became what He decreed. Heaven and earth became what He seeded, decreed, and described with His words. From the beginning God was sharing with man, who was made in His image and likeness, how they could partner with Him and be creators by decreeing word seeds. We do not create from nothing like God did, but we take what God has done and steward it in such a way that we can decree a creative force into the heavens and the earth.We can also create gardens like Eden, filled with fruit and abundance—gardens in the natural realm and the spirit realm. We can plant words filled with life—words that when believed, decreed, and acted upon become the very thing they describe. Word seeds have the innate ability to become what they are describing. They are seeds releasing their inner codes to reproduce in the soil in which they are planted.In the beginning, God said “be” and it was. “Trees be,” and they were. The words produced after their kind. “Sun be,” and the sun was. That word produced after its kind. He planted the heavens and the earth with word seed decrees. Now, we have been restored because of Calvary, because of the cross, to plant word seed decrees. We are to make decrees of faith based on God’s Word and His will. We have been reborn to say “be” to things. “Be” to things that need to be done, “be” to things that need to be produced. It is time for us to be who we really are. The world is crying out for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God. It’s time to recognize that we have God’s traits passed on to us. We are heirs with authority delegated to us to be a ruling species of beings. Father’s DNA is in us.
My earthly father and mother passed on genetics that can still be seen in me today. But my spirit has God’s DNA in it. I am God’s son—I really am! Son is not just some word that sounds really nice. I am here as His offspring to decree His words of life, power, and change— words that produce after their kind. Words that plant the heavens and the earth with God’s Word. Word seeds that become what God says. I am here to follow the ways of my Father who has passed them on to me. It is in my spirit. It has been fertilized, germinated, and activated inside of me.
It’s time we use our God-given rights as heirs of Christ to decree words that seed change everywhere. Word seed decrees that disciple a nation. Word seed decrees that declare God’s power, scatter darkness, and bring order out of chaos just like His Word did in the beginning. Just like Dad did. Holy Spirit hovers until He hears God’s seed declared, God’s Word voiced. He’s hovering today over a nation and the world, waiting for the sons and daughters of God to become the voice of God on this planet and declare His Word and not back down. It’s in us to do it.If you have confessed Jesus as Lord, He has germinated His nature as a seed inside of you. You really are a child of God. A part of your restored purpose is to seed the world with His words. Never speak negative words or unbelief. They are contrary to the seed of God that is in you. Reign in His name, speaking words of life and revival. We are here as His sons and His daughters to voice His Word everywhere. The greatest days in church history are not in our past; they are in our present and in our future. Say what God says.What possibilities has God given to you? What opportunities has He given us when we understand the principle that words are seeds? Plant words of life. Plant them in the heavens. Plant them on the earth. Plant them in your life, business, and children. Plant purpose-filled seeds.
